Autumn/Winter 2012 inspiration

It might be dark and stormy outside, but it’s going to get a bit dark and stormy in your wardrobe, too. In a good way. With the odd dash of red, gold brocade and cobalt, to brighten it all up a little. This season you’ll be rocking a touch of leather, checking out in tweed and plaid, kicking up your heels in riding boots and coveting a military coat. All while styling it out with burgundy lips, a fresh-faced blush and an equestrian-perfect ponytail, a bag full of half-used tissues and Disney plasters, your burgundy lippie smudged off your face and onto your toddler and a scooter hanging over your arm.

Be inspired by my Autumn/Winter mood board, below, and tomorrow we’ll be using it as a reference for our new-season capsule mummy wardrobe. Yeah, yeah, the kids need new shoes, but so does Mummy, after all…
