Baby’s first shoes
I know this is It’s a Mummy Look, rather than It’s a Kids’ Look (although watch this space, as I’m working on a whole new section that brings in the little ones. Would be rude not to), but yesterday was rather special. I took the young’un to Clarks for his very first shoe fitting, and we I indulged ourselves with the Clarks First Shoes Experience.

The first official shoe fitting is very special, and Clarks really does it justice, taking a snap of your bubba in their first shoes and creating a little certificate for you to take away, along with a special Clarks First Shoes shoe box and First Shoes book. The book is lovely, actually, as it not only has professional advice on how often your child will need their feet measuring, and beautiful shots of gorgeous kids toddling about in their collection, but there’s also lots of handy info on family day trips, craft ideas and baby and toddler groups they can join.
It was a lovely experience and I thoroughly recommend it. I probably got more joy out of it than my boy (who was more interested in the biscuit I had to give him to munch on as a distraction, not being a fan of having anything put on his feet, and all…), but it was a real milestone for us both. It was a very proud Mummy Look.
