Le Retail Therapy

Aside from building sandcastles, constantly applying factor 50 to the young’un, sharing Toddler Duty between ourselves and the grandparents and consuming far too much wine, bread and cheese, we also managed to fit in a day of shopping while we were on hols in Brittany. As I mentioned at the end of last week, we went along to a couple of the famous Troc & Puces for some bargains. These bric-a-brac markets are great for picking up all sorts of gems. From unique knick knacks for the house, old French fashion magazines, gorgeous linens and antique furniture to artisanal products, collector’s items, quirky teapots and stalls upon stalls of charming French kids’ clothes and second-hand toys. Make sure you go along to one if you’re in the region and you’re a bargain-hunter. Here’s a selection of our finds:

Helicopter light

Clown toy

Girl's smock

Broderie Anglaise romper

Boys shirts

Playtime gear for our bubba

Old French magazines and a new Clinique Aromatics Elixir scented candle (for Mummy)
