S/S 2012 Trend Week: pyjamas
My son has decided that sleep is for the weak. And it seems I am top of the guest list for his regular wide-awake-at-3am parties (you know, that obligatory guest list that babies have just for you, where you’re met with enraged screams whenever you dare to leave the nursery…). Nights like these render me pretty useless the next day, and wanting nothing more than to stay in my pyjamas. So it’s quite reassuring to know
PJs on parade
Sadly, I don’t think my checked Jack Wills PJ bottoms and oversized sweater really count as Fashion Items, but it’s still a trend that seems to be tailored perfectly for us sleep-deprived mums, no? And, in the spirit of this week’s London Fashion Week, I thought I’d give you a trend per day for the rest of the week, to show you how next season’s catwalk looks can be worked into your mummy wardrobe with ease (seriously – pyjamas! I mean, all we need now is for Dolce & Gabbana to start customising their dresses with baby detritus and we’d be so bang on trend it hurts. What next? Muslin epaulettes? We’ve been wearing them draped over our shoulders for months, darlings, keep up fash pack…).
